Militiamen chuckle as they travel on the rear of a transport truck, racing past a series of several lifeless forms and heading in the direction of the sinking African sun.
"See such work. Observe this instance of ethnic cleansing," one cheers.
The individual smiles as he directs the recording device on his person and his associate militiamen, their Rapid Support Forces badges clearly shown: "They will all be killed this way."
These individuals are celebrating a mass killing that aid workers believe resulted in the deaths of over two thousand people in the African metropolis of al-Fashir last month.
An Urban Center Isolated from the Outside
Following their control of the community under encirclement for nearly an extended period, from August the militia moved to strengthen its control and restrict the leftover civilian population.
Space-based imagery reveal that fighters started to erect a massive earth barrier - a raised earthen wall - encircling the boundaries of al-Fashir, sealing off roads and preventing humanitarian assistance.
As the siege intensified, multiple individuals were slain in an paramilitary assault on a religious building on 19 September, while the United Nations reported dozens additional were slain in aerial and cannon bombardments on a displacement camp in October.
Disturbing Footage Depicts Defenseless Civilians Gunned Down
In the early morning on 26 October the RSF defeated the remaining government strongholds and took control of the central base in the community, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the military retreated.
One of the most disturbing footage to appear and examined revealed the results of a massacre at a university building on the western of the urban area, where scores corpses were observed scattered throughout the area.
A senior person dressed in a traditional garment was seated isolated surrounded by the victims. The man turned to gaze as a militiaman carrying with a weapon proceeded along the staircase in the direction of the victim. Raising his weapon, the shooter released a single shot at the individual, who collapsed to the surface motionless.
"How come is this individual yet alive," another fighter cried. "Kill this person."
Satellite images taken on 26 October appeared to verify that killings were furthermore conducted on the streets of el-Fasher, based on a analysis issued by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.
One eyewitness who provided testimony stated the individual had observed "many of our kin being killed - these individuals were assembled in one place and everyone murdered."
RSF Commanders Try to Carry Out Damage Control

Included among apprehended was after a report detailing his murders. Meticulously staged and edited video published on the militia's official messaging account show the individual being taken into a cell at a prison on the edges of el-Fasher.
At the same time, the RSF and affiliated social media channels began trying to reshape the account.
Updates depicting its fighters distributing aid to residents were circulated by some accounts, while the paramilitary's media office published multiple clips purporting to show the humane treatment of army detainees.
In spite of the social media campaign being deployed by the militia, their conduct in el-Fasher have generated international condemnation.
