An Australian man who jumped across a fence and grabbed actress Ariana Grande has been deported and banned from Singapore.

The man, twenty-six, was given a sentence to more than a week in prison for being a public nuisance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities stated to local media.

The man shoved beyond security and rushed toward the actress and singer, who was attending the regional launch for the musical adaptation on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

The individual has a record of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The event sparked outrage in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The pop star has mentioned dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist bombing at her show in the UK city in several years ago killed over twenty people and injured hundreds.

Throughout the court proceedings, the court heard he had attempted to intrude on the film's premiere twice, according to local news sources.

He then made a second attempt to jump the barricades. Event security prevented him and held him in place.

He then uploaded video clips expressing gratitude to the star for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities took him into custody the following day and brought charges against him with causing a disturbance, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge the magistrate was quoted by media reports as remarking that he was looking for publicity, commenting that he was mistaken to assume he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not spoken about the incident.

Erivo mentioned the event to NBC, remarking that she "simply desired to verify my friend was safe."

"I think he had no intention to us danger, but you cannot be certain with those things, and I wanted to ensure that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she commented.
