Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Widespread Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Bahrain, as Iran launched operations throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and continuing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone near the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any impact is not yet known and the United States has yet to issue a statement.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - stated they have shot down missiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on Iran launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump encouraging the Iranian people to rise up against the government.

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israeli military said it had detected an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with great effectiveness and shot down a number of missiles," it added.
It said debris fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The United States Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
