Ariana Grande attended an event in Singapore for the international debut of Wicked: For Good

Passionate supporters of the actress are calling for that a individual who jumped a barricade and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a promenade flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account features clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Past Trauma

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

The show itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, securing a pair for outstanding attire and production design.
