Beloved Star The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Has Died at Age 60.

US entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic programs including Friends, "Seinfeld" and "The Middle", has succumbed aged 60.

The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA recently having undergone treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.

"Pat Finn considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones said in a message.

They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

An Extensive Career on Screen

His initial on-screen part was on a show starring George Wendt in the mid-90s, where he played the brother of the main character.

He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He starred as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a social organizer who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of well-known programs, including:

  • King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • That '70s Show
  • House, M.D.

He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, appearing throughout eight seasons over nearly a decade.

His film credits are It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.

Off-Screen Life

Outside of his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a faculty member.

He was part of a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.

"Finn guided, supported, and advised many learners throughout the years and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who has anything negative to say about him," his relatives stated.

Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," he shared publicly.

The actor is leaves behind his wife Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
